A Crazy Idea

A Crazy Idea

“I read the Bible through every year, and as I was reading this year I came up with the idea that maybe our church could write a daily devotional on this Bible study format. It would help us get to know each of the members a little better, and get to know more of what’s going on in the church as we study the Bible together,” shared Ray Berg.

Think about it. My home church, Hood View, has less than 365 active church members, so some are going to need to write more than one daily devotional. The devotionals will need to be written before-hand, not the day they’re needed. The devotionals will need to be relevant, open, insightful, and thought-provoking, and there are 365 of them!

This would be a major endeavor for a university church with a thousand members. Or two thousand members. But, Hood View has taken it on!

Did I tell you that they plan to make this daily devotional available to the entire world on the internet? And, available in print for those who are not internet-friendly? It’s true!

It’s also open to non-Hood View members. You can write a devotional for Hood View, if you’d like!

Yes, it’s a crazy idea. And an awesome one! Thanks, Ray!
