Brandon O'Neal Elementary Administrator of the Year

Brandon O'Neal Elementary Administrator of the Year

The first sign Brandon hung up after walking into Portland Adventist Elementary School was “All Means All.” He has stuck with that mantra for the past three years as he advocates for serving all students and putting them first in all of the decisions made at the school.

Coming from teaching and leadership in the public school setting, Brandon has brought a fresh perspective to ensuring every child experiences growth through intentional curriculum and following the data of assessment. His revolving office door is always open for students and his large-hearted approach to families sets an open and welcoming tone at PAES. Through focusing on professional development in pedagogy, reading, and math, Brandon has not only raised the learning expectations at PAES, but has provided direction for many teachers in the Oregon Conference.

After repainting the outside and inside of PAES and replacing the carpeting, Brandon added inspirational quotes throughout the building that continue to lift up his staff and students to his mantra of “All Means All.” It is an honor to work alongside such a tireless and innovative leader who exemplifies leading like Jesus. Brandon was presented Administrator of the Year 2019 for the Oregon Conference, a recognition well deserved.
