This week, we are excited to welcome Kaleb Eisele to the Oregon Conference family. He will be helping to tell the stories of Oregon Adventists, as well as serve as our social media manager and digital content creator.
Over 36,000 people are counted as members in the Oregon Conference territory. That’s 36,000 individuals, called together into a community of faith to fulfill the mission that Jesus has given us. More than 36,000 stories of humans trying to make sense of life and family and faith.
Our Oregon Conference mission statement reminds us that “It’s All About Jesus!” and our mission starts with knowing Jesus and others. Of course, knowing Jesus starts with spending time in His word, reflecting on the stories of the Savior, and allowing the Spirit of God to inspire our lives. Knowing others starts with taking the time to hear their stories.
It’s the stories that connect us together. That’s why we’re collaborating with Kaleb. He is the creator and editor of Humans of Adventism (AdventistHumans.com). Over the past two years, Kaleb has refined the skill of capturing the heart of a person’s story and helping them tell it in a compelling way. Last fall, he was a featured presenter at the Society of Adventist Communicators Conference and has been interviewed by various Adventist podcasts and publications.
Now, he brings his passion for storytelling and connection to Oregon. His role: to tell the human stories that will make us celebrate. Or laugh. Or cry. Or simply realize that we are not alone. As Oregon Adventists, we are a family of faith with God as our Father. God calls us toward community, knowing Jesus and others. We think you’ll enjoy getting to know your Oregon Adventist family. And we know that as we listen to our stories together, God will draw us closer to each other.
If you want to join in, follow us on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OregonAdventists/) or on Instagram (@OregonAdventist).
Welcome to the team, Kaleb. We’re listening.
