Each autumn, Oregon Conference Pathfinder clubs converge for an annual camporee. This year, the first weekend of September found three hundred Pathfinders and another hundred staff and directors packing up to head to Jasper, Oregon for the three-day event. This year’s theme was Made for More and Pastor Jason Calvert, Oregon Conference Church Ministries director was keynote speaker.
On Sabbath, Pathfinders had the choice of completing one of nine honors available that day, or their club could go off-campus to hike and explore local parks and rivers. Sabbath evening brought the conclusion of Pastor Jason’s series on the 2025-2026 Pathfinder theme.
Sunday included a community service project and time for clubs to share games and activities. Clubs provided gaga ball, corn hole, plastic axe throwing, board walking, 4-man relay and other group games.
Pathfinders made sure to walk the entire campground to pick up any trash left behind. They cleaned all the bathrooms and showers and swept the event space. They also picked up all the fallen apples in two apple orchards. The apples filled two trucks, and the owner was beyond happy, saying it was a true blessing for his crew.
With the Pathfinder year now underway they’re looking forward to the adventures the coming months bring and opportunities to connect with Jesus and each other in meaningful ways.
