Trust Fund Miracle

Trust Fund Miracle

Affording Adventist Education can be challenging for some, particularly this year with the financial impact of the global pandemic. Recently, the Oregon Conference Education Department team was approached by three of our school principals asking if there was any financial assistance available to support a couple of families attending their schools. These community families were thriving in the Adventist school system but could not afford to continue for the second half of the school year.

Our two superintendents prayed with these principals, sharing that they did not know where available funds would come from, but that they trusted God would provide.

Just ten minutes after the prayer session, one of our superintendents was notified of a missed phone call from an Oregon Conference church member. He called this person back and found out that they were wanting to donate scholarship funds. This was a direct response to the superintendents and principals’ prayers! The donor family had a legacy of helping their extended family to attend Adventist Education and wanted to increase their scope to include worthy students throughout the Oregon Conference.

The Education Department team worked with these generous donors to establish a Trust Fund Scholarship with enough money to support not only the students they had just prayed for but also to aid families for years to come!

If you are interested in establishing a trust to support Adventist Education, contact the OR Conference Education Department Financial Specialist, Gayla Rogers.

Even if you don’t have the resources to set up a trust fund, any amount would be a blessing to our students and families. You can give via AdventistGiving to the K-12 Scholarship fund.

“There will be young people, this school year that will choose to live forever with a loving God in a perfect place because of you.”
