On Thursday, April 20, a joint meeting of the executive committee and nominating committee elected Eric Davis as VP for Finance, replacing Brent Plubell who moves to the North Pacific Union Conference office (NPUC) on May 1. For the last year, Davis has been serving as Oregon Conference association treasurer, overseeing the finances of the seven corporations that comprise the conference.
Next, the executive committee moved to address the vacancy left by the first vote. The committee voted to appoint Kody Hendrickson as association treasurer. He moves to that role from his current role as Oregon Conference associate treasurer. Hendrickson joined the Oregon Conference as an accountant in 2015. From there, he was promoted to assistant treasurer in 2018 and associate treasurer in 2020. Along the way, he was responsible for moving truck operations, as well as the implementation of the Laserfiche digital filing system. Now this move represents another increase in responsibility as he will oversee finances for all of the supporting corporations of the Oregon Conference.
“Kody is highly competent in financial skills and operational management and has really grown as a leader in his time here in Oregon Conference,” commented President Dan Linrud, “This opportunity allows him to expand his leadership even more. God has really blessed us with such high quality internal candidates on our treasury team.”
In moving to the association, Hendrickson leaves a position on the conference treasury team vacant. This vacancy was addressed by personnel committee. Ingrid Schwinghammer, Oregon Conference accounts payable clerk, has been promoted to assistant treasurer. Schwinghammer has been a part of the treasury team since 2020. Before that, she worked for ADRA Canada in similar roles.
All moves are effective May 1. We look forward to the contributions of each team member as they lean into their new roles.
