The Oregon Conference Executive Committee met in Gladstone on Thursday, April 17 to receive reports and conduct the regular business of the church. After a time of devotion and prayer, the business commenced.  

Camp meeting planning is only possible because of the faithful donations of camp-meeting lovers around the conference. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We’ve heard the question this week: “Did we really raise $390,000 by March 31?”

Last fall, Conference leaders announced a strategic realignment of Conference ministry to meet continued financial challenges. In the ensuing months, the team has been hard at work to develop the vision and clarify how Conference ministry leadership and support will continue.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Camp Meeting so far. In January, members contributed over $18,000 to the Camp Meeting fund. Including matching funds, we’ve raised $97,300 toward our goal of $390,000. 

By carefully staging deliveries of public safety and sanitation resources like radios, golf carts, port-a-potties and trash cans to arrive “just in time,” we’re able to reduce the cost by a small amount. By adjusting programming plans to reduce our dependence on rented meeting tents, we reduced additional cost.
