Eugene Women's Ministries Sponsors Life Paperwork Workshop

By Karen Blais Wechner

Earlier this month, Eugene Adventist Church Women’s Ministries sponsored a special workshop designed to help people think about how to organize the paperwork of our lives in the event of an emergency, or even death.

Oregon Conference Women’s Ministries / Prayer Ministries coordinator, Tawny Sportsman facilitated the workshop, which welcomed 30 people from area churches to a catered brunch and lively talk and discussion about preparing for the inevitable – letting our loved ones know what to do in case we are incapacitated, need to evacuate, or even upon our passing. Tawny stressed that each person’s “Go Book” would be different and unique to him or herself.  Categories to include in your Go Book include, but are not limited to, In Case of Death, Personal Information, Financial Information, and Health Information (including advanced directives).

For more information on how your church can sponsor an informative event like this, contact Tawny Sportsman at Tawny.Sportsman@OregonAdventist.org or at 541-401-2521.
