The Dalles Members Celebrate Progress on New Church

“Yesterday the four large HVAC units were delivered and set into place at our new church building. The electricians plan to start next week. The miracle continues to unfold on the hill.”

Those words were part of the “welcome and announcements” at The Dalles church on Sabbath, January 25. It may not sound like much, but for members in The Dalles, seeing the HVAC units in place is a major victory. The electrical will be like a base-clearing home run.

The new church complex has been a dream of the church for many years. They finally purchased property on a hill overlooking the Columbia River and brought in a team of Maranatha volunteers to frame the building and move it along as far as possible. The storm of county permit needs, untimely weather, and other challenges stalled progress. Now the stall is over and the miracle has come to life again! As you look in through the main doors, through the welcoming lobby, all the way to where the sanctuary platform will stand, you can almost hear the congregation singing Alleluias.
