Thousands of books cover several rows of tables in Zull Hall waiting to be perused. Standing at the back talking and laughing with other book enthusiasts is Pastor Jim McMurray who, along with several helpful volunteers, has returned to host this year’s ABC Used Book Sale!

“It gives me joy that I can get materials into the hands of people that I know are going to get a blessing from them,” Pastor McMurry shared with us when he arrived at Gladstone Park for a similar sale during camp meeting a few years ago. “The thing that thrills my heart the most is when people tell me they’ve been looking for a book for years and couldn’t find it until then.”

While this year’s selection includes a fresh stock of vintage materials dating at least as far back as the 1800s, you can also find a wide selection of children’s books, Bibles, CDs and DVDs, and more recent inspirational writing like Kara Powell & Steven Argue’s Growing With: Every Parent’s Guide to Helping Teenagers and Young Adults Thrive in the Their Faith, Family, and Future.

Come on over to Gladstone any time during the ABC’s operating hours now through July 15th and take some new reads home with you for a flat rate of $3/inch! See you there!
