“What if we were to recapture the idea of evangelism driven by passionate, spirit-filled lay people?” This is the question posed by David Paczka, Oregon Conference director of Hispanic ministries back in 2017. From that question, the Give Me Five Initiative was born.

Thirteen teams of six gathered expectantly, awaiting the start of the 2019 Pathfinder Bible Experience. They’d been ready to “compete” a week earlier, but the event was postponed due to the Willamette valley’s “snowpocalypse”.

This past Monday morning, 280 people gathered at Holden Convention Center in Gladstone, Ore. in anticipation of welcoming family members they hadn’t seen in 10, or more years.
