The Portland Adventist Academy Gospel Choir was one of several gospel music groups invited to perform during the Walla Walla University Church’s annual Black History Celebration on the first weekend of February.

Due to Big Lake’s central location in Oregon, this retreat is one of the most important opportunities for young adults to connect and meet Adventist peers from other areas of the Oregon Conference for personal growth, social activities, and worship.

In Turner, Ore., local leaders from Spanish-speaking churches across the Oregon Conference came together for one of their biggest annual events – RED.

High school students from all over the Oregon Conference, including small groups and at least five high schools, began the year with a Youth Night of Worship. The Holden Center was filled with students as they welcomed in the Sabbath with worship music, trivia, and a message from Crosswalk PDX pastor, Paddy McCoy.

After beginning his ministry in the Oregon Conference nearly 15 years ago in 2008, Pastor Nate Hellman accepted and began working in his new role as associate ministerial director of the Oregon Conference last December.
