The Oregon Conference Executive Committee met in Gladstone on Thursday, April 17 to receive reports and conduct the regular business of the church. After a time of devotion and prayer, the business commenced.
Earlier this month, Salem Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, also known as Fortaleza Salem, had something special to celebrate–their nearly 60 members who received Children’s Ministries Certification from the North American Division!

For years, The Dalles had been the smallest congregation of the Hispanic district of Hood River. In fact, it wasn't too long ago that merging with another area church was about the only option. Then God called a volunteer lay pastor to step forward.
Since 2009, a partnership has grown between several members of our Oregon Conference family and the village of Kumari in Nepal. This year, the teams at Big Lake Expeditions and the Common Ground Adventist church plant partnered to return to Kumari once again this Spring.

Pleasant Valley Church is experimenting with a tiny solution to the challenges of coordinating small groups in a large community.
Last fall, Conference leaders announced a strategic realignment of Conference ministry to meet continued financial challenges. In the ensuing months, the team has been hard at work to develop the vision and clarify how Conference ministry leadership and support will continue.
During this year's Oregon Prayer Conference, attendees enjoyed a journey of prayer, reflection, and community revival.
Each year Union-level Pathfinder Bible Experience and the Pathfinder Area Coordinators Convention rotates between conferences in our union, and this year the Oregon Conference had the honor of hosting our fellow Pathfinder communities!
