Over the past few months the Oregon Conference has been blessed to welcome several new (and returning) faces to our pastoral team.

In just a few short weeks, on April 8th, Livingstone Adventist Academy will celebrate its 125 year anniversary on alumni weekend.

On Wednesday, March 8, Brent Plubell accepted the invitation of the North Pacific Union Conference Executive Committee to become their undertreasurer, effective May 1, 2023.

On February 23rd, the Oregon Conference Executive Committee was scheduled to meet for the first time in 2023. Snow, ice, and traffic gridlock in the Portland-area kept the committee from gathering in-person, but the elements couldn’t stop the meeting, which quickly pivoted to Zoom.

“Every Adventist is already an ambassador. Some of us have huge platforms and some only have a few dozen in their network – but we are all called to be ambassadors for Jesus.”

On Sunday, February 11th, the talented 5th grade band and choir from Portland Adventist Elementary School performed an incredible show at the Sharon Adventist Church.

The Portland Adventist Academy Gospel Choir was one of several gospel music groups invited to perform during the Walla Walla University Church’s annual Black History Celebration on the first weekend of February.

At Twin Rocks Friends Camp in Rockaway Beach, Ore., late January brought a rare weekend of sunshine, a fitting welcome for the bright smiles of around 40 Oregon Pathfinder teens and their adult ministry partners.

Due to Big Lake’s central location in Oregon, this retreat is one of the most important opportunities for young adults to connect and meet Adventist peers from other areas of the Oregon Conference for personal growth, social activities, and worship.

The Oregon Regional Ministries Department recently held its first annual Leadership Summit from January 20-22, and it was a great success.
