The North American Oromo community organized a special recognition program this summer to honor Beyene Bedhasso, a significant figure in both spiritual and community leadership of the Adventist Portland Oromo community.

On Friday, October 11, a team of Adventist Community Service (ACS) volunteers from the North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) arrived in Augusta, Georgia to set up a donation warehouse for communities in need.

Jon Corder has accepted the invitation of the Executive Committee to become interim VP for Finance. Corder last served in Oregon as VP for finance from 2008-2011.

On Friday, October 4th, the North Pacific Union President and the Oregon Conference Executive Committee extended the invitation to Elder Don Livesay to serve as Interim President of the Oregon Conference, which he accepted, effective immediately.

On a farm in Boring, Oregon, a member of the Gresham Spanish Adventist Church has been hard at work lifting up her community through growing food.

The search for Oregon Conference president is ongoing, facilitated by the North Pacific Union Conference under the chairmanship of Elder John Freeman, NPUC president.

On Wednesday, August 14, NPUC Executive Committee approved a recommendation from John Freedman, NPUC president, and the president’s council to adopt a prayer strategy involving all six conferences and Walla Walla University starting this October.

As technology and digital devices become more and more deeply embedded in the lives of most Americans, a group of Adventists between the Umpqua Valley region and the neighboring Oregon Coast have been working to provide a unique offline experience that reconnects kids with nature, each other, and Jesus.

As coordinators made final preparations to open the activities, Pathfinders already were lining up to participate and nearly Pathfinders were in the queue by the time the activity officially opened!
