In the Salem area, members of the East Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church have been hard at work serving their community.

The Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Executive Committee voted that the Bloom group plant in Portland, Oregon, will no longer be part of the Adventist church and Oregon Conference, effective September 1, 2023.

This month, Dave and Ingrid Schwinghammer announced that they have accepted a call to return to Canada as Dave accepts his new position as Philanthropy & Marketing Director for ADRA Canada.

The North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) has launched a brand new initiative focused on empowering local young adult ministries. On Sabbath, September 9, seven teams of young adults traveled to NPUC headquarters to present ideas for the 2023 NPUC “Spark Tank” Young Adult Outreach Summit.

Pathfinders haven’t had the opportunity to host a conference-level camporee since 2019, due to COVID-19. This summer however, 350 Pathfinders and staff represented 22 clubs when they traveled to Camp Umpqua to enjoy a weekend full of special challenges.
