The Oregon Prayer Conference has a new leadership team.

We can’t wait for the day that every church building is open and again hosting in-person worship services each Sabbath for our faith communities throughout the Northwest! At the same time, the safety of every church member is so important to each of us! How do we keep our members safe while beginning to reopen our gathering places?

"The Impact Your Health Executive Committee has reluctantly decided to place our IYHP 2020 free clinics ON HOLD. We have not given up, but are accepting the wise guidance of many who have counseled us to push the “pause” button. Our next steps will be led by how life in Oregon progresses in the coming months."

On April 23, the Oregon Conference Executive Committee met and approved a recommendation from the Big Lake Youth Camp Advisory Committee to suspend all 2020 summer camp activities.

While we are caring for and encouraging the families most affected, church leaders and responsible committees and boards at all levels, must also prayerfully look toward the future of the church and respond strategically to potential economic changes so that the spiritual ministry of the church can continue to meet the needs of our members and communities.

Stop by the Clark County Adventist Community Services (CCACS) building at 3114 E Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, Washington and you’ll immediately notice the garden. Perfect rows stretch from fence to fence, each bed exactly five feet from the next, already showing promise of a bountiful harvest.

This week, the governors of Oregon and Washington both released their versions of a “Stay Home” orders that closed many non-essential businesses across both states.
