This June, a group from Oregon Conference Hispanic Ministries embarked on Next, an educational journey through the Nordic countries of Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark.

“It was a beautiful program, but it was also meaningful. Not only did we work together, we created experiences and had a whole bunch of lessons.” This is the way Natalia Gramada, Sunnyside Adventist Church Adventurer director, described the Adventurer Family Camporee that was held June 9-11th at the Gladstone Park Conference Center.  

Juan Pacheco was appointed as the new Assistant to the President for Communication by the Oregon Conference Executive Committee on Thursday, June 22, filling the position formerly held by Jonathan Russell as he transitions into his new role as Assistant to the President.

Scappoose Adventist School (SAS) held its first annual ‘Homecoming Sabbath’ alumni event in March. Teachers, students and staff, past and present, along with church members gathered together to celebrate the school’s 88 years of service to Columbia County.

On Thursday June 22, the Oregon Conference Executive Committee appointed Jonathan Russell to be the next Assistant to the President, a position vacated by Randy Hill as he begins his new role in the Pacific Union Conference later this summer.

After 30 years of leadership at Portland Adventist Elementary School, beloved librarian, Madelynn Cummings, will be retiring at the end of the summer. Perhaps better known to generations of local families as “Mrs. C,” Madelynn’s legacy and impact on the PAES community is unmistakable.

This spring across five geographical regions, Oregon Conference administration and local church members gathered for worship, fellowship, and current updates on the state of the Adventist Church in our territory in an initiative called “Together in Mission.”

Walla Walla University will celebrate its 2023 commencement on Sunday, June 11 at 8:30 AM on the WWU Centennial Green. The events on Sunday will cap a weekend of graduation events starting on Friday, June 9, at 1:00 PM

On Sunday May 21, over 500 Oregon Conference Pathfinders and staff gathered at the Lane County Event Center in Eugene, Oregon to celebrate the end of the club year at the annual Pathfinder Fair.
