One of the most significant aspects of resolving the Conference's financial challenges has been working through restructuring our pastoral workforce. It’s "significant" because of the financial savings that will come to the Oregon Conference, but also because we understand the significant human impact on those affected. Now that the process is complete, we want to share background about how these decisions were made.

“I always want to make sure that what I share is affecting people’s lives on Monday morning. When I think about ending a message I think, ‘What’s the big idea? What can we do with this? How can we integrate this into the mess of our world? How does it work in daily life?’” It was from this line of thinking that Journey Adventist Church began to change the way they did things just a few short years ago.

Over the weekend of June 7-9, nearly 200 Adventurers and their families, representing 20 clubs in the Oregon Conference, arrived at Gladstone Park to set up their camping areas as they prepared for the second annual Adventurer Family Campout.

May 17-18, our Oregon Conference Hispanic & Latino Ministries sponsored RED Jovenes at the Holden Convention Center in Gladstone; an event designed to empower youth leaders to connect better with our young people.

This year’s Oregon Adventist Men’s Chorus (OAMC) annual concert took on a new ring and youthful energy when Portland Adventist Academy’s Bell Canto handbells ensemble became part of the program.

The annual end-of-year celebration, held May 19, wrapped up another year of exciting programming and activities for Oregon Conference Pathfinders.

Oregon Conference President Dan Linrud, after much prayer, initiated an executive committee meeting in which he offered his resignation today, Thursday, May 23, 2024. This action was accepted by the Oregon Conference Executive Committee.

Pastor Juan Pacheco, who has served as Assistant to the President for Communication since July 2023, recently accepted the Lord’s call to the Florida Conference.

On Sabbath, May 4, kids and their families arrived at the Holden Convention Center to host the second annual PDX Children’s Church in partnership with the Oregon Conference Children & Families Ministries department. Children's Church is a full worship service that’s led by kids and for kids. This year’s theme was Bugs! Big lessons from God’s smallest creatures!
